But because statistics are computed based only on registered cases, we can be certain that the figure is, in fact, much higher. That this is not just a hypothesis is confirmed by the fact that SOS centers are receiving more phone calls than ever, that an increasing number of people contact suicide prevention centers, and that the waiting rooms in counseling centers are most often packed.

Životinje koje su živele u hronično blago stresnim uslovima (bez društva, u kavezu koji im je stalno davao elektrošokove koji nisu opasni po život, u blizini predatora koji nije mogao da im priđe i slično), veoma brzo su gubile svaki elan. One koje su bile izložene ekstremnijim metodama, recimo izolaciji, odbijale su hranu. 



Moć psihe na telo je često apsolutna. U jednom naročito surovom eksperimentu sa majmunima koji su odrasli u potpunoj izolaciji, jedinka je uginula od anoreksije jer je posle neprekidnog stresa kojem je bila izložena, a posle još jedne traume, naprosto prestala da jede.



Poenta je da svakodnevno izlaganje stalnom stresu može biti izuzetno opasno. Ekvivalent ove situacije u ljudskom društvu može biti i stres koji pojedinac neprekidno doživljava na radnom mestu. Svetska zdravstvena organizacija tek sada je konačno dodala izgaranje na radnom mestu u priručnik međunarodne klasifikacije bolesti. 



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Koji su to znaci sindroma sagorevanja na poslu, i kako da znate da li imate ovaj sindrom?&nbsp;</h2>



Fizička i emotivna iscrpljenost: Blagi hronični umor posle nekog vremena prerasta u osećanje potpune iscrpljenosti na svakom nivou – često je prisutan i osećaj teskobe pri iščekivanju onoga što nosi svaki novi dan. (Ponekad i samo razmišljanje o sledećem danu unosi nervozu.)



Nesanica: U ranoj fazi možda imate problema da zaspite, ili da provedete celu noć u neprekinutom snu; ovo kasnije može preći u potpunu nesanicu, i pored opšte iscrpljenosti organizma.&nbsp;&nbsp;



Zaboravnost, opadanje pažnje, oslabljena koncentracija: Otežano fokusiranje na posao koji je pred vama može biti jedan od ranih simptoma. Ovo postaje veći problem jer je posla sve više, a postaje sve teže postići ga, što dovodi do začaranog kruga.



Fizički simptomi: Oni često uključuju bolove u grudima, ubrzano lupanje srca, tegobe sa disanjem, gastrointestinalne bolove, vrtoglavicu, nesvesticu, glavobolju (naravno sve ovo treba prekontrolisati i kod specijaliste)



Češće razboljevanje: Pošto je telo umorno, imuni sistem je oslabljen, i onaj koji pati od ovog sindroma je daleko izloženiji infekcijama, prehladama, gripu, i drugim problemima sa imunitetom.&nbsp;



Gubitak apetita: Počeci ovog sindroma često su povezani sa nedostatkom osećaja gladi koje dovodi do preskakanja obroka. Ovo kasnije može dovesti do većeg gubitka apetita i naglog gubljenja telesne težine koji može biti negativan po opšte zdravstveno stanje.



Anksioznost: Tenzija, napetost i neprekidna briga mogu eskalirati do te mere da konačno izazivaju ozbiljne probleme u produktivnosti, ali i u privatnom životu.&nbsp;



Depresija: Blaga tuga i osećaj beznađa ili čak krivice (zašto ne uspevam da obavljam ovaj posao kao drugi?) isto tako mogu preći u depresiju i osećaj zatočenosti i teskobe.



Bes: Umor i teskoba mogu voditi u razdražljivost koja, ako postane hronična, može poremetiti odnose sa drugim ljudima, bilo na radnom mestu ili privatnom okruženju.&nbsp;



Ovo su samo od nekih simptoma koje može izazvati sindrom izgaranja. Jednako ozbiljni su oni koji se odnose na opšti doživljaj života gde se onaj ko pati od ovog sindroma oseća otuđeno, muči ga opšti osećaj cinizma, pesimizma, apatije, može imati potrebu da se izoluje i sve teže pronalazi razloge da uživa u svakodnevici.&nbsp;

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kako lečiti sindrom sagorevanja?</h2>



Alarmantno je i to što je u Srbiji broj ljudi koji pate od sindroma sagorevanja na poslu među najvišim u Evropi. Prema onlajn <a href="https://www.statista.com/statistics/1249649/experiences-of-burnout-in-europe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">istraživanju</a> iz 2021. u kom je učestvovalo oko trideset hiljada ljudi, Srbija se nalazi na visokom trećem mestu sa šezdeset posto ispitanika koji se osećaju kao da su na ivici izgaranja, ili da su tu granicu već prešli. Iznad Srbije nalazi se samo Poljska (66% ispitanika sa ovim sindromom) i Rusija (66%). Ispod Srbije se nalaze Češka, Švajcarska i Austrija, dok se Francuska sa 45% tradicionalno nalazi na začelju kolone.



U ovakvim situacijama ponekad je teško odlučiti se na prvi korak ka pomoći, ma koliko to bilo važno za lično zdravlje. Neispavanost, nesanica, manjak energije, iscrpljenost, problemi s varenjem, visok pritisak, dekoncetrisanost, glavobolja, smanjena profesionalna efikasnost, samo su neki od simptoma stresa i izgaranja na poslu, poremećaja koji je Svetska zdravstvena organizacija (SZO) uvrstila u 11. izdanje priručnika Međunarodne klasifikacije bolesti kao profesionalni fenomen.



Više od dve trećine Srba pati od hronične iscrpljenosti na poslu ili je bilo na ivici iscrpljenosti, pokazali su rezultati međunarodne zdravstvene studije &#8220;Budućnost zdravlja&#8221;. Istraživanje među 18.000 ispitanika u devet zemalja, pokazuje da je više od polovine Evropljana (55 odsto) doživelo je hroničnu iscrpljenost na poslu ili nešto slično ili da iz ličnog iskustva zna koji su simptomi tog problema.



Sindrom izgaranja na poslu najviše pogađa Ruse (72 odsto), Srbe (66 odsto) i Poljake (62 odsto), dok se manje od polovine ispitanika u Španiji, Italiji i Nemačkoj (48 odsto), kao i u Francuskoj (44 odsto), suočilo sa hroničnom iscrpljenošću na poslu.
